With the E 6518 HS suction dredger-type bucket wheel, STICHWEH once again demonstrates how efficient processing technology works in demanding wet mining operations. The system takes the water-gravel mixture conveyed by the suction dredger directly from the pressure pipe and ensures reliable washing and dewatering – even at high throughput rates.
Challenge: To perform efficient preparation of large quantities of material and optimize dewatering.
The aim of the project was to reliably process a water-gravel mixture with a flow rate of 1,600–1,800 m³/h and an average solids throughput of 350 t/h. At the same time, solids up to approximately 100 mm had to be handled reliably, whilst finer particles had to be cleanly separated.
Solution: Automated speed control for maximum process reliability
The E 6518 HS bucket wheel operates with load-dependent speed control, which automatically adapts to changing material flows. In the bucket wheel trough, the solids settle, are picked up, dewatered and continuously discharged. Fine particles and wastewater flow via the overflow into the on-site wastewater pipe.
