Interview: Mirko Wulf

Since March 2023 Operations Manager at STICHWEH

Mr Wulf, how long have you been with STICHWEH?

I have been with STICHWEH since July 2021. I started in the technical office. From here, I was able to gain important insights into the company and further qualify myself. I have now been operations manager since March 2023. A great advantage for me in the initial phase was that the previous operations manager, Markus Kleinert, remained in the company. He took over another position here: so the handover was really smart and there was no loss of know-how.

What is your task as farm manager?

That can be summed up simply: As Operations Manager at STICHWEH, I am responsible for production and for all employees involved in the production process. This includes: Planning capacities and production steps based on the orders in production. The focus of my job is thus on planning and controlling the crucial work processes at STICHWEH.

How did you acquire these qualifications? Where were you before STICHWEH?

I am a trained industrial mechanic by profession. I completed further training as a state-certified technician from 2015 - 2017. Afterwards, I was able to gain a lot of experience in processing and planning as head of work preparation in a training company. Here are the most important stages in my career:

  • 2011 - 2014 Apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic
  • 2014 - 2015 Skilled worker (in the training company)
  • 2015 - 2017 Further training as a state-certified technician
  • 2017 - 2021 Head of work preparation (in the training company)

What are your specific goals at and with STICHWEH?

I would like to move into a secure future with STICHWEH. To make the company more visible in the region and to make the STICHWEH future interesting.

My goal is to be able to reach even more motivated employees and junior staff in the future! Because only with them can we continue to build great machines and implement exciting projects!
