Two new apprentices from Vietnam join STICHWEH
The Braunschweig-based agency Vietnam Recruiting approached us to ask whether we would be willing to offer apprenticeships to young people from Vietnam. At STICHWEH, openness, responsibility and the promotion of international talent have always been central to our ethos – so we immediately looked into this opportunity with interest.
Following a company presentation, we received applications from Phong and Van Dai. Both impressed us with their motivation, courage and desire to begin a qualified apprenticeship in Germany. In a meeting with the agency, our management team, the trainer and the site manager, the two introduced themselves – and it quickly became clear: this was a good fit. The apprenticeship contracts, starting in September 2025, were signed.
However, the journey to Germany was not without its challenges. Delays in visa processing led to a later arrival. So the joy was all the greater when Phong finally arrived in January and Van Dai in February 2026.
To ensure a smooth start in Germany, STICHWEH has rented a flat in the neighbouring building. There, our neighbour Elke Thiemann supports the pair in their daily lives – with great warmth, patience and practical help. She plays a key role in helping them settle in and feel at home far from their homeland.
We are delighted to welcome Phong and Van Dai to STICHWEH. Their courage and motivation are a real asset to our company – and we are proud to support them on their journey towards a successful career.
