At the existing quarry pond, Holcim
Perlmooser has started the next phase of raw material extraction - with modern technology from STICHWEH.
A
powerful scraper systems was installed on the existing
installed on the existing conveyor belt system and now ensures efficient
gravel extraction.
The system works with a floating return pulley that is anchored on the opposite bank. The possible scraper path of around 250 metres allows a conveying capacity of around 150 tonnes per hour.
A vibrating grid with a gap width of 125 mm ensures that material in the target grain size range of 0 - 125 mm is mainly extracted. Larger oversize particles are discharged via a separate chute.
Mining takes place in side block cutting, which enables a virtually loss-free yield. The continuous material flow takes place via an automatically controlled pendulum feeder, a dewatering screen and an intermediate belt onto the existing conveyor system.
By using this STICHWEH technology, Holcim Perlmooser is maximising efficiency and sustainability in the extraction of raw materials.
