New at STICHWEH in internal sales: Tim Hermenau
The STICHWEH team is delighted to welcome Tim Hermenau as a new member of the internal sales team. Tim Hermenau has been working at the STICHWEH site in Thüste since 1 August 2024.
Here is the short welcome interview:
Editorial team: Welcome to the STICHWEH team, Mr Hermenau. How did you hear about the STICHWEH vacancy and why did you apply?
Tim Hermenau: My wife regularly reads the weekly newspaper "Hallo Wochenende" and noticed the STICHWEH job advert there. I sent in my application documents straight away and was invited to an interview with Mr Sürig and Mr Golembek. As the saying goes, first impressions count: and they both made a good one!
Editorial team: What is your professional background to date?
Tim Hermenau: I don't come from the stone and earth industry. I previously worked in trade and industry. My last job was in an industrial company for architectural coatings and thermal insulation. Here I worked in field service. My current family situation is better suited to an office-based position. I have a 4-year-old daughter, so I specifically looked for a job in the region - and found it at STICHWEH. A key aspect of my so-called work-life balance is not just being there for my family at the weekend.
Editorial team: What are your first impressions and experiences of everyday working life at STICHWEH?
Tim Hermenau: I'm really impressed by the large machines that are manufactured here. I am still in the familiarisation phase and am working intensively with the Managing Director Rolf Sürig and the mechanical engineer at STICHWEH, Marc Golembek. This gives me the opportunity to familiarise myself with the business, the machines, how they work and their areas of application. In addition to my tasks in internal sales, such as writing quotations, customer and end customer support and order processing, I can contribute my experience to the further development of standards, optimisation of warehousing and spare parts distribution.
