No Plastic – We’re Doing Our Bit
STICHWEH cups replace plastic cups
Many leading companies in Germany have already given up using disposable containers made of plastic in their canteens, office kitchens and in their drink vending machines. They have replaced such containers with plastic-free alternatives.
STICHWEH has also done this. Since the start of 2020, “No Plastic” is the maxim that has been applicable to all drinks at the company based in Lower Saxony that provides plant technology and preparation systems for the pit and quarry industry worldwide.
“We’re doing our bit and reducing our plastic use. We’ve not been using plastic cups for our drinks since the beginning of the year. All employees use our STICHWEH branded ceramic alternatives. Whether this be in our office kitchens or in our drink vending machines” – says Anja Gröhlich, General Manager at STICHWEH.
With its “No Plastic” initiative the company for More sand. More gravel. More success. is not merely following the social trend towards More sustainability. This initiative pre-empts the EU ban, which will probably come into force in 2021, that will see certain single-use plastic cutlery items being banned from retailers and the catering industry.
